Call for Paper:

Case Presentation

 

We are inviting abstracts for paper presentations for the ESD Good Case Presentation at the International Symposium. The papers should illustrate how RCEs address local sustainability issues though one of the following themes:

 

  • Advancing Policy Support

  • Whole-institution Approaches

  • Increasing capacities of educators and trainers

  • Empowering and Mobilizing Youth

  • Encouraging local communities to develop community-based ESD projects

 

The above-mentioned themes are aligned with the five priority areas of the Global Action Programme (GAP) on ESD, drafted by UNESCO as a follow-up framework to further promote ESD beyond the end of DESD. The papers should demonstrate major achievements that RCEs have made and some challenges that RCEs have experienced in implementing ESD in the context of the selected theme/priority area. It is also recommended to share your views on possibilities for scale up action in order to contribute to the selected theme/priority area.  Please click here

Posters

 

The participants have two options

 

  • RCE members can send the soft copy of their presentations and RCE Penang will help to print the posters. The estimated cost is RM120-RM150. The participants need to send the soft copy of their posters two weeks prior to the date of their presentation.The soft copy could be sent directly to Dr. Noor Haida (noorhaida@usm.my).                                                                            or       

  • RCE members can also bring the printed poster of AO size and place it at the exhibition sites.  The size is AO size (46.82 X 33.11 inches).
